The administration, communication and organization of your event will be a stress-free experience. Jazz Fever is a self-managed band, there are no third parties involved. From the moment you contact us you are dealing directly with the band leader.
We offer a comprehensive range of services that can be customized to just about any size and budget.
pricing
We are very reasonably priced. Fees vary depending on the:
- number of performers
- number of hours
We charge by the hour, and do not charge for time spent setting up.

deposit
Payment of a non-refundable deposit of 20% secures your booking with us. This can be made via cash, direct deposit or cheque.
payment options
You will be notified of your balance within two days of receipt of deposit. Payment options are as follows:
- Cash: Payable on the day of the event.
- Direct deposit: Payable into our bank account at least 5 working days prior to the date of the event. Our bank account details will be provided at the time of booking.
- Cheque: Made payable to ‘Scott Simpkins’ and mailed at least 10 working days prior to the date of the event.
Additional fees will apply for overdue payments and cheques not clearing.
cancellation policy
The deposit is non-refundable. We require 5 days notice of cancellations and a full refund (less deposit) will be issued. Cancellations made less than 5 days before the agreed booking date will be issued with a 50% refund. If a cancellation occurs on the day of the event, full payment will still be incurred.
travel fees
There are no travel fees for events within 60 minutes by car from Sydney CBD. There may be a need to charge travel fees for areas outside this perimeter, including: Wollongong, The Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, Central Coast. These fees can be negotiated at the time of booking.
performance
The musicians arrive 30 to 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to setup the performance space.
Our dress code can consist of all black to black tie.
additional requirements
Jazz Fever requests that the client arrange for the following:
- An area for performing
2 piece band approx 2m x 1.3m 3 piece band approx 2.5m x 1.7m 4-5 piece band approx 3m x 2.5m - Access to a power point
- We also request a 10 minute break for every hour Jazz Fever performs, and would appreciate a non-alcoholic refreshment be provided for each performer. We can tailor our breaks around your schedule if speeches or presentations occur.
- We appreciate being fed for bookings in excess of 3 hours over the lunch or dinner period, however this remains at your discretion.
