Scott Simpkins is a formidable young saxophonist with over 15 years experience in the music industry as a performer, arranger, composer, session musician, educator and jazz innovator. He has toured Europe, New York and Paris, and has performed at major jazz festivals such as North Sea and Montreux.
A gifted musician, Scott graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2005 with a B.Mus (Jazz Saxophone). Since then he has gone from strength to strength, steadily building a high profile and establishing himself as one of the most accomplished saxophonists to emerge on the Sydney music scene in years.
He is in high demand, performing and recording extensively at concerts, jazz venues, music festivals, private events, universities, restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs throughout Australia. He has performed at The Basement, The Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Entertainment Centre, The Metro, Soup Plus, Harbourside Brasserie, and The Side-On to name a few.
He is a captivating performer with astonishing technique and a style that is instantly engaging.

Jazz Fever is Sydney’s premiere jazz ensemble, including an outstanding lineup of some of Australia’s leading jazz artists. They have performed in exclusive and renowned jazz venues in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. Each of the players has been hand picked from around the country, all professionally trained with a minimum of 8 years experience in live performance.
Jazz fever make regular appearances at Paddington, Kirribilli, Glebe, Rozelle, St Ives, and North Sydney markets and have enjoyed residencies at the acclaimed L’etoile Restaurant, Paddington; d’Albora Marina, Akuna Bay; AMP Food Plaza, Sydney; Barcelos café, Willoughby; and Artichoke restaurant, Mosman.
